Gardening 101: Composting

North Brighton Community Garden is bringing all the facts and no-nonsense gardening tips and tricks this year!

We are excited to launch our Gardening 101 series that will help the eager beginner or fledgling gardener to have the knowledge and confidence to venture forward into the garden.

We will begin the series with workshops including:
- How to begin a successful compost system
- Worm farms
- Dealing with droughts and heatwaves
- Knowing what to plant + when to plant

We will delve into these topics when its cooler:
- Pruning and tree maintenance
- Soil deficiencies: Signs and remedies
- Gardens and climate change

COMPOSTING

Join us Saturday morning as we begin to use our compost system. Alan Shepard, compost wizard, will be teaching us the dos and don'ts of compost. These skills can translate to home systems too!
